ADVANCED TRAINING 2027

1. Do I need to be a yoga teacher to join the in-person advanced training + mentorship? No. While this training is designed with teachers in mind, dedicated practitioners who want to go deeper are absolutely welcome. The 30-hour Yoga Alliance accreditation is available for certified teachers — but if you're here to level up your practice and be in a room of serious people, that's more than enough reason to apply and we can provide a certificate of completion.

2. Who is this program really for? This is for the yoga teacher who's outgrown the basics and wants advanced technique, refined methodology, and real mentorship. It's also for the dedicated practitioner who's been at this for years and is ready to be genuinely challenged and evolve in their practice. If you're looking for a casual retreat with light movement, this probably isn't it. If you're ready to work — this is exactly it.

3. Do I need a 200 or 500-hour certification to apply? No. You need a 200 or 500-hour certification to receive the 30-hour Yoga Alliance accreditation. If you don't hold a certification but have a serious, long-term practice, you're still welcome to apply — just note that your certificate of completion will reflect participation rather than accreditation hours.

4. What does the 30-hour Yoga Alliance accreditation mean? It means the training is registered with Yoga Alliance and counts toward your Continuing Education hours. If you're a RYT-200 or RYT-500, these 30 hours go directly toward your credentials. You'll receive official documentation at the end of the week.

5. Will you help me find accommodations? Accommodations are on you to book, which means you get to choose exactly what suits you. We highly recommend staying at Kan Wellness (where the program is hosted) and use promo code "DEDICA27" when booking for the most seamless experience — but if you'd rather be nearby, La Veleta and Holistika are our go-to neighborhoods. One honest tip: skip the beach zone. Gorgeous, yes. Practical for this week? Not really. Any questions, just email hello@bydedica.com.

6. What if I need to cancel? We get it — life happens. However, please note that all bookings are non-refundable. So make sure you’re ready to commit before applying!

7. Are meals included during the mentorship? Included in your experience: daily breakfast and one group dinner. All other meals are yours to explore — and trust us, Tulum's food scene makes that the fun part. We'll send you our favorite local spots so you're never stuck wondering where to eat.

8. What should I bring? Full packing and preparation details will be sent once you're confirmed. Generally: comfortable practice wear, a journal, and an open mind. We'll handle the rest.

9. What is the schedule like? Once accepted, you'll receive a full schedule, daily itinerary, and packing list. What we can tell you now: days are full, intentional, and designed to build on each other. Expect early mornings, deep work, and evenings that are yours to explore.

10. Will there be any free time? Yes. Late afternoons & some evenings are generally unstructured and yours to enjoy. Tulum has no shortage of ways to spend them — and we'll have local recommendations and a hot group chat ready so you make the most of every night.

11. Is this the same as the January Challenge? No — they're two separate programs. The January Challenge is a five-week online and in-person drop-in series open to all levels. The Advanced Teacher Training is a five-day in-person immersive in Tulum with an application process, limited spots, and a completely different scope. Many people do both.

12. Where should I fly into? Tulum has its own airport — Felipe Carrillo Puerto International Airport (TQO) — with direct flights from select major cities. Otherwise, Cancún International Airport (CUN) is the most common entry point, with shuttles and rental cars available for the roughly 2-hour drive south. We'll include specific travel recommendations and logistics in your welcome package once you're confirmed.

13. Can I bring a friend or partner who isn't doing the training? Of course! Just note that the program runs on 6-hour days, so they'll be on their own during training hours. Tulum is a great place to explore solo — and evenings can absolutely be shared.
